FAQ
Here you will find answers to the most common questions about our services and products. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Are they approved?
We are manufacturers and all our Super Led and Ultra Led line bulbs are approved and you can drive them and pass the MOT. According to the manufacturing certificate: “The replacement is considered equivalent given that the mechanical, dimensional and functional characteristics are the same as those of the original component” based on the *ECE R37 regulations * as a suitable replacement to replace the original component and are compatible with lenticular, ellipsoidal or magnifying glass headlights, regardless of the make and model of the vehicle.
How to make the manufacturing certificate?
You must enter all the required data in a form that you will find in the following link, once the lamps have been purchased. https://asxstore.com/pages/homologated-led-bulbs
Here's a more detailed explanation of how to do it:
https://acrobat.adobe.com/Manufacturing Certificate
To be able to drive and pass the MOT, your bulbs must have the mandatory documentation certifying that they are approved.
The certificate is individualized with your vehicle's data.
The data that we will require in the form are:
-Make, model and registration of the vehicle .
- Vehicle approval password : you can find it on your Technical Inspection Card, either in section “K” or in the text that appears at the bottom left, after “… with the vehicle approval password number: …” Enter all the characters, including slashes and asterisks. (Ex: e12*2007/36*2714*93)
-Bulb type and model: Ex : ULtraled H4
-Product serial number : Or batch number. It is printed on the neck of the bulb, it is a four-digit number separated by a slash. (Ex: 07/23)
- Headlight approval number : This is printed on the headlight itself, on the lens, or on the inside. It consists of an “E” followed by a number, contained in a circle. Next to it there must be one or two numbers, generally four digits each.
Once you have completed the form, please check that all the information is correct. It is your responsibility to enter correct and real data and not to falsify a document that must be examined by official bodies.
For any issues with your certificate, you can contact our Customer Service phone number 658 747 558 and we will try to resolve it as soon as possible.
It is advisable to bring it in PDF format.
What type of light bulbs does my car use?
It is important to check your vehicle's owner's manual . You can also consult a vehicle professional or an authorized service center.
* For example, if your car has H7 halogen, then H7 Led will fit.

Where can I see a compatibility list?
Unlike other brands, ASX does not limit the manufacturing certificate of Ultra and Super Led bulbs to a listing . According to ECE R37 regulations, it is not mandatory to have a listing.
If a halogen bulb can be mounted on “all” vehicles, so can an LED, since according to the manufacturing certificate: “The replacement is considered equivalent given that the mechanical, dimensional and functional characteristics are the same as those of the original component.”
How to install LED bulbs?
Installing the bulbs is quite easy. First, you anchor the base of the bulb to the headlight and then you insert the bulb and orient it so that it produces the right beam of light.
Click on this link to view the installation manual.

*There may be some headlights that need an adapter to mount the H7 model to the headlight.
Does my car need an adapter to install LED bulbs in the headlight?
The only bulb models that need an adapter are the H7. For the others, the adapter is the same as the halogen bulb that the car has as standard.
Check this list to see if your car needs it:

*There may be car models that do not appear on the list and that require an adapter. If so, it is recommended that a professional check your car's headlight to see which of the models we have on our website fits it, making an observation and comparing it with the images of our models.
There are car models that, due to the finish or because there are different headlight manufacturers, appear to fit several adapter models.
What is the difference between Super and Ultra Led?
The ULTRA is more powerful than the SUPER and already comes with the heat sink fan and prevents CANbus failure by 90%.
· Ultra: 23 watts of power and 1725 Lumens
· Super: 13 watts of power and 1170 lumens
What is CANbus fault?
This occurs when the warning light "blows out" appears on the dashboard. The car may then stop sending power and the light will flicker or turn off.
This is because the car detects that there is lower consumption, and can interpret this as a blown light bulb.
It is solved with a decoder, which is a resistor so that together with the bulb there is more energy consumption and it is equal to the halogen ones.
It happens rarely, but it can happen.
Will I pass the MOT?
Regarding documentation, of course. In some centres they may ask you for a digital signature to “officialise” the document, which we will insert without any problem upon request at Customer Service.
Another issue is the lighting test. Before your inspection, you should always check that the bulbs are perfectly compatible and that they emit an appropriate beam of light without glare.

Do Super White halogens produce blue light?
Although the bulb is blue, the light is 6000k white, cool white.
What is the lifespan of a halogen lamp?
Halogen bulbs have a lifespan of up to 3,000 hours. Our bulbs have a longer lifespan because they are quartz, UV protected and anti-vibration, both the original yellow and super white bulbs.
What is the technology behind the ASX LED headlights?
ASX LEDs use the 3570 CSP chip, a more modern chip that can deliver more lumens/watt than a standard CSP chip.
What warranty does the product have?
All ASX products have a 2-year warranty, ISO, INMETRO and E-MARK quality certification, and if the products under warranty are not repaired, they are exchanged for a new one.
Please note:
- It is advisable to refer the installation to a professional to ensure that it is well regulated (it produces a good beam of light and does not dazzle).
- Check that the headlight and the car have a homologation code. (Unless the headlights are not original or the car is not registered in Europe, they usually all have it).
- There may be some models that require a headlight adapter or CANbus decoder for full compatibility.
